OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY

Oregon State University (OSU) is a public land-grant research university in Corvallis, Oregon. The university offers more than 200 undergraduate-degree programs along with a variety of graduate and doctoral degrees. On-campus enrollment averages near 32,000, making it the state’s largest university. Since its founding over 272,000 students have graduated from OSU.[7][8] It is classified among “R1: Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity” with an additional, optional designation as a “Community Engagement” university.[9]

OSU is a land-grant university that also participates in the sea-grantspace-grant, and sun-grant research consortia; it is one of only four such universities in the country (University of Hawaii at ManoaCornell University and Pennsylvania State University are the others).[10] OSU received $441 million in research funding for the 2017 fiscal year and consistently ranks as the state’s top earner in research funding.[
