Holmes Institute and Holmes College is an Australian provider of higher education courses. It is privately owned with campuses in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Cairns and Hong Kong (HK locations seems closed).
Holmes Institute was established in 1963 as a commercial college in Melbourne. It was previously known as Holmes College of Management or simply Holmes College, with its International and Australian head office in Spring street, Melbourne. As of 2009, it was Australia’s largest national private education and training centre and by 2021 its MBA’s was Australia’s largest according to enrollment.
The institute consists of a faculty of Vocational Education and Training, a faculty of Higher Education, a School of Secondary Education and an English Language Centres at each location. Holmes Institute operates from campuses in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Cairns and Hong Kong, offering a range of awards from the vocational level through to masters’ degrees in business administration and accounting.
The Institute provides students with comfortable areas for students to meet with others, relax and for group work. These lounges include kitchen facilities with microwaves and seating areas. Information about social activities occurring around the campus and in the specific city are also provided to enable students to gain a sense of community arguably necessary for student engagement and ultimately success.
